Pastor Owen Hendricks is a local Christian minister and community leader based in Mitchells Plain, a large suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. Pastor Owen gained widespread recognition locally during the initial COVID-19 national lockdowns in South Africa. Recognizing the growing fear, depression, and anxiety in his neighborhood, he began setting up a public address system and amplifier right outside his residential gate in Mitchells Plain.
